The filer is responsible for researching the name for availability in Guilford County. To obtain a Certificate of Assumed Name form, go to the business license information section of the following website: <http://www.nccommerce.com>.

Form must be completed in accordance with NCGS 161-14. Bring the completed form to the Register of Deeds office for recordation.

Recording fee per NCGS 161-10 is $12.00 for the first page, $3.00 for each additional page.

Effective October 1st, 2005, there will be a notary verification fee of $2.00 in addition to the above recording fees for all Certificate of Assumed Name forms filed in Guilford County.
