About the Park

Guilford-Mackintosh Park is owned by Guilford County and managed by the Burlington Parks and Recreation Department. Opened in 1998, the park encompasses 67 acres adjacent to the northwestern shore of Lake Mackintosh, a water supply reservoir for the City of Burlington. The park incorporates a former stone quarry, which provides striking views of the exposed rock wall from the lake. Visitors can also explore the park's hardwood forest on two miles of nature trails.
